Biodiversity - is thevariation of life forms within a given ecosystem, biome or for the entireEarth. Biodiversity is often used as a measure of the health of a biologicalsystem. Cities were only designed for people not plants or animals.
Coopetition - the fusion ofcompetition and cooperation and the belief that collaboration is the onlyway to solve the current challenges that we all face as businesses andindividuals and that together we are stronger and smarter... "Everyone issmarter than anyone"
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) - is a concept whereby organizations consider the interests of society bytaking responsibility for the impact of their activities on customers,suppliers, employees, shareholders, communities and other stakeholders as wellas the environment. This obligation is seen to extend beyond the statutoryobligation to comply with legislation and sees organizations voluntarily takingfurther steps to improve the quality of life for society at large.
Edutainment - the fusion ofeducation and entertainment and seeing the importance of making learningenjoyable so that it is impact in changing people. Conscious clubbing
Great Pacific Garbage Patch (GPGP) - is an area of plastic in the central North Pacific Ocean located roughlyin an area between 135° to 155°W and 35° to 42°N. The patch is characterized byexceptionally high concentrations of suspended plastic and other debris thathave been trapped by the currents of the North Pacific Gyre.
Surface Area Vegetation - the concept of utilizing all of the available area in a city to supportfood growth or other plants. Thisincludes roof, vertical and victory gardens.
Triple Bottom Line - (people, planet and profit) expanding the traditional reportingframework to take into account environmental and social performance in additionto financial performance.
ThirdSpaces - is a term used in the concept of community building to refer to socialsurroundings separate from the two usual social environments of home and theworkplace. One's first space thehome, their second space is the work. Third spaces are important for civil society, democracy, civic engagement,and establishing feelings of a sense of place.
